Vegetation is primarily tropical rain forest. In this area Goral, Gaur, Bear, Sambhur Deer, Hog Deer, Barking Deer, Monkey, Gibbon and other mammals may be viewed.
Only 98 species of birds have been recorded, with others yet to be recorded. The highlights would be Kalij Pheasant, Blue-throated Barbet, Collared Scops Owl, Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Wedge-tailed Green PIgeon, Blue-winged Leafbird, Golden-fronted Leafbird, Asian Fairy Bluebird, Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Velvet-fronted Nuthatch, Black Bulbul (White-head Race), Puff-throated Bulbul, Black-throated Laughingthrush, White-browed Scimitar Babbler, Buff-breasted Babbler, Grey-throated Babbler, White-rumped Shama, Green-tailed Sunbird and Streaked Spiderhunter Golden Rock Pagoda
In addition plant and orchid observation, butterfly watching, reptiles and amphibians study, trekking on Mt. Kyaikhtiyo (over 1100m) and other mountain ranges, studying the Mon and Kyin ethnic tribes and visiting the world famous Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) Pagoda are possibilities in this Myanmar (Burma) ecotourism, birds watching, birding and trekking tours site.Lizard
