Mandalay Region
" MANDALAY REGION "
This Myanmar (Burma) ecotourism, birding, birds watching and culture tours site is located in central Myanmar dry zone which has dry deciduous forests, tropical thorn forests and wetlands. Only 110 Myanmar bird species have been recorded, with many yet to be discovered, it is believed. Highlights would be Myanmar endemic bird White-throated Babbler, Burmese Bushlark (Myanmar endemic bird), Pied Avocet, Green and Blue-tailed Bee-eaters, Oriental Darter and others.
In addition one can make the observation of Irrawaddy Dolphin on the Ayeyarwaddy River.
