Crocodiles Watching Tour Site
This Myanmar (Burma) ecotourism, birds watching, birding and crocodiles watching tours site, Meinmahla Kyun Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 15˚ 50’ N and 95˚ 14’ E at Bogalay Township, Ayeyarwaddy division in South Myanmar near the Bay of Bengal, an area of 139.70 sq km covered with mangrove forests. Irrawaddy Dolphin, Otter, Sambhur Deer, Hog Deer, Small Indian Civet, Large Indian Civet, Wild Boar, Jackal, Crab-eating Macaque, Leopard Cat, Jungle Cat, Fishing Cat and many species of small mammals live in this Myanmar (Burma) ecotourism, birds watching, birding and crocodiles watching tours region.
Only 157 bird species have been recorded, but it is believed that others are yet to be discovered. Highlight would be Lesser Adjutant, Asian Openbill, Black-headed Ibis, Ruddy-breasted Crake, White-breasted Waterhen, Caspian Tern, Whiskered Tern, Little Tern, Gull-billed Tern, Mangrove Pitta, Brahiminy Kite, White-bellied Sea Eagle, Greater Flameback, Streak-throated Woodpecker, Brown-winged Kingfisher, Black-capped Kingfisher, Vernal Hanging Parrot, Large-tailed Nightjar, Mangrove Whistler, Racket-tailed Treepie and Yellow-bellied Prinia.
In addition one can make the observation of estuarine crocodiles by the spot light at night on the river, river banks and mangrove forests in this Myanmar (Burma) ecotourism, birds watching, birding and crocodiles watching tours site.
